ABOUT ME
Featured Review
My name is Emmanuel Adegboyega. I’m a STEM and SHSM student at Chaminade College School which is in Toronto, Ontario. I’m currently serving my second year as the student council president at Chaminade. I’m also an athlete who plays 3 different sports; Football, Basketball, and Track & Field. My family and I immigrated to Canada a little over six years ago from Lagos, Nigeria. I have 4 siblings; 2 older sisters, one younger sister, and a younger brother. I graduated from St. Andre Catholic elementary school. I was valedictorian for my grade 8 graduating class. From there I went on to Chaminade and I am currently in my final year and I'm looking forward to university to continue my education and athletics. I recently accepted a scholarship offer from Canada's only NCAA school, Simon Fraser University, to continue my education and athletics out in BC, Canada.
I have been an honour roll student for 3 years in a row now; currently have a 90%+ average. I am a firm christian and I am invested in continually building a stronger relationship with God. I have always been passionate about leadership and leading by example since I was a child. I see leadership as an opportunity to serve my community and the world as a whole through motivating people to be better and do better. I am a leader in my community and I strive to have a global impact on many generations after me. I am an activist, influencer, and an Ambassador for change. I’m an aspiring lawyer and global leader. I have always been interested in solving problems for people and I believe becoming a lawyer will allow me to do just that.
Few months back, I was the front page story of the Toronto Star where I shared my story of discrimination and racism in order to advocate for change and empower others to use their voices in a positive way. Since then, I have done several interviews, podcasts, and collaborations where I shared my ideas and perspective on pressing sensitive global issues. I give all the glory to God for the opportunity I have everyday to inspire and empower the people around me and many others to chase their dreams and fulfill their God given destinies; this is something I never take for granted. My family and mentors are my support system, who I can count on whenever I need advice and opinions when I’m about to make an important decision. Hope this helps you get to know a little more about me!!
