It is very interesting how the movie Black Panther has brought up a lot of cultural conversations and realization. This masterful and questionable superhero drama written by Ryan coogler is unlike any other, featuring outstanding acting, fantastic graphics, fascinating intrigue, memorable moments, and surprising depths. But most importantly it is a movie full of history, diversity, and violence. Black Panther is a film beyond the average superhero movie; it is an interesting and well plotted story with themes of family loyalty and community responsibilities. There is of course, violence in the movie but the movie respectively uses its characters without the purpose of stereotypes that the society puts on women. In the movie the female characters are strong and smart to help with the survival and security of a nation. Black Panther is also very diverse with its cast coming from many different cultural backgrounds which is a good example for kids so they learn to accept people no matter their race or what they believe in. Black panther is a very unique movie in many different ways, for example as in all other superhero movie there is a continuous trend of the protagonist or hero being white with a black American character providing services to him/her for instance in captain America the winter soldier that exact same thing occurs. But in Black Panther T’challa doesn’t seek advice nor did he wait for the avengers to serve justice for his father’s death but instead he went ahead and acted without permission. In many movies today there are a lot of hidden stories behind the composure of the movie but a lot of people are literalist they just watch movies without understanding the true meaning behind them. All popular films are political and are based on past events from a particular point in time. These movies are neither or less re-enacting specific issues or event from a particular period of time. Science fictions are usually used to hide the fact that the contexts of these movies are political and are reflecting real stories from the past. Some movies are intentionally done to reflect these political acts from previous generation but some aren’t but they still reflect on these issues in one way or the other. Black Panther is definitely one of those movies that were intended to reflect on these political issues and to make people really think about their roots and not feel ashamed to be black in the society.
